August and Katie bought their first home in Aurora, CO in May of 2025, and it's a real fixer-upper! Among many other upgrades (such as restoring 90% of the floors in the house and replacing all appliances) they aim to replace the HVAC system.

The house currently utilizes a single 40-year-old gas furnace and does not have air conditioning. After obtaining multiple assessments from various HVAC professionals, it has been determined that the furnace should be replaced soon for the safety of the home and for compatibility with modern air conditioning units.

 

To reduce costs and for a more green solution, August and Katie hope to replace the furnace with a heat pump unit that will provide hot and cold air year-round.

The couple has a growing savings account for this big project, but they would greatly appreciate any help they can get.
